Background Information :

Annually, the Board must approve its Director’s participation in the State’s Executive Development Program for Public School Leaders, Component III – CEO Leadership Institutes. This program consists of ten (10) days of meetings each fiscal year for which the State, in the past, paid the Director a $1,000 supplement ($100 per meeting). According to State Department personnel, the Commissioner of Education has not made a determination as to whether this supplement will be paid for the 2014 – 2015 Fiscal Year. Regardless of the decision, no financial obligation will attach to the Board’s approval of its Director’s participation in this professional development program.

Professional development opportunities are extremely important for staying informed on the latest trends and developments in public education. I would appreciate the Board's approval of my participation.
